Ruto amshambulia Uhuru kwa kung’ang’ania uongozi wa Jubilee - September 2026
President William Ruto has labeled his predecessor, retired President Uhuru Kenyatta, a rebel leader for refusing to act as a statesman, and criticized him for clinging to the leadership of the Jubilee Party. During his Nyanza region tour, Ruto continued his sharp criticism of the Opposition while launching development projects in Migori County, including promises to expand the airstrip, construct a modern terminal building, and upgrade roads. Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has pledged that Kenya's 2027 General Election will be free, fair, secure, peaceful, and credible. A separate opposition coalition is calling for the removal of the national tallying centre ahead of the 2027 General Election, asserting its unconstitutionality.
