These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Kenyan News application ("the App"), developed and operated by The Online Knowledge Company Limited ("The OK Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. About the App

Kenyan News is a free, ad-supported news aggregation app that curates and displays headlines from various Kenyan news sources. The App provides links to original articles hosted by their respective publishers.

2. Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on your personal device for non-commercial purposes, subject to these Terms. You may not:

Copy, modify, or create derivative works of the App
Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code
Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels
Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms

The App, including all trademarks, copyright, database rights, and other intellectual property rights, belongs to The OK Company.

3. Content

3.1 Third-Party News Content

The App aggregates headlines and excerpts from third-party news sources. All aggregated content remains the property of its original publishers. We encourage you to visit original source websites to read full articles and support the journalists who create the content.

3.2 Accuracy

We rely on third-party sources for the news content displayed in the App. While we strive to present accurate and current information, we do not verify the accuracy of individual stories. The OK Company accepts no liability for any loss arising from reliance on content displayed in the App.

4. Advertising

The App is ad-supported and displays advertisements through Google AdMob. These ads may be personalised based on your device's advertising settings. You can manage ad personalisation through your device's Google Settings.

5. Service Availability

The App requires an active internet connection to function. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted service and are not responsible for the App not working at full functionality due to connectivity issues.

We reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue the App at any time. We recommend accepting updates when offered to ensure the best experience. The App is currently available on Android, and system requirements may change with updates.

6. Device Security

You are responsible for keeping your device and access to the App secure. We recommend against jailbreaking or rooting your device, as this may compromise security features and prevent the App from functioning properly.

7. Data Charges

Your use of the App may incur data charges from your mobile network provider, including roaming charges if you use the App outside your home territory. You are responsible for all such charges.
