The Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) announced a four-hour disruption to its iTax portal for scheduled maintenance. This outage, occurring on Thursday, September 18, from 10pm to Friday, September 19, at 2am, will affect all online services linked to iTax.

• The maintenance aims to help KRA onboard and manage more online services, following a recent update to its Integrated Customs Management Systems (iCMS).
• The iTax system allows taxpayers to update registration details, file returns, register payments, and monitor ledger accounts.
• Earlier, KRA automated tax return filing for salaried workers, requiring only National ID numbers to autopopulate annual income tax data.
