A ship carrying 30,000 metric tonnes of fertilizer has arrived at the Port of Mombasa, set to be distributed to thousands of smallholder tea farmers by the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA).

  • Farmers will access the fertilizer at a subsidized price of KSh 2,500 per 50-kg bag.
  • KTDA National Chairman, Geoffrey Chege Kirundi, highlighted that additional shipments of 33,000 metric tonnes and 36,000 tonnes are also enroute.
