Kenya is grappling with severe floods and landslides, prompting an urgent call for residents in flood-prone areas to evacuate. The heavy rains have caused widespread displacement, cut off vital roads, and led to fatalities across several counties.

• At least 13 bodies have been retrieved following a landslide in Machember sub-location, Mukurtwo Location, with search and rescue operations ongoing. 19 survivors have been rescued.
• Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen urged public caution, emphasizing relocation from low-lying areas and adherence to alerts from the Kenya Meteorological Department.
• The Kapsowar-Chesoi Road has been completely cut off due to mudslides, significantly hampering rescue efforts.
