The Law Society of Kenya (LSK) has criticized the Kenya Magistrate and Judges Association (KMJA) following escalating tensions and protests at the Maua Law Courts, sparked by alleged harassment of a magistrate.

• On October 30, lawyers protested at Maua Law Courts, resulting in the reported harassment of Magistrate Damacaline Bosibori.
• The LSK, through President Faith Odhiambo, expressed concern over KMJA's response and called for the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the conduct of judicial officers at Maua Law Courts.
• The LSK urged the JSC to ensure accountability measures go beyond "cosmetic transfers" for misconduct, while the KMJA denounced the protests as "intimidation and incitement."
