Democratic Congress Party (DCP) leader Rigathi Gachagua has raised concerns about escalating politically motivated insecurity in Mbeere North Constituency ahead of the November 27 by-election. He accused senior government officials of sponsoring intimidation tactics and urged Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja to address the threats.

• Gachagua named Simon Njagi Njiru (alias Gikundo wa Gikundo), Josiah Kariuki Ngari (alias Mtetezi Puff), and Susan Nyaga as individuals issuing threats on social media.
• He alleged that these suspects are close associates of senior government officials and the Embu County Government, demanding their immediate arrest and charging.
• Gachagua announced he would be in Mbeere North from November 16 to November 24 to campaign for his preferred candidate.
