The Church and Clergy Association of Kenya has demanded action against Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei following what they term "unfitting remarks" made during a November 9, 2025 church service in Kapsabet. Senator Cherargei urged neighboring presidents to "deal with" and deport Kenyan activists accused of destabilizing regional stability, remarks the clergy consider to be propagating physical violence.

• Bishop Hudson Ndeda, national chairman of the Clergy Association, stated that the senator's remarks violated chapter six of the constitution on leadership and integrity.
• The clergy are urging the Inspector General of Police and the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) to investigate Senator Cherargei’s statements.
• They also called for the Senate to consider a censure motion against him and advised churches to be vigilant against politicians using pulpits to sow division.
