President William Ruto officially handed over keys to 176 new homeowners at the completed Machakos Boma Yangu Estate. This event marked a significant step in the government's affordable housing initiative, providing diverse housing options and generating employment.

• 176 buyers received keys in Phase I of the project, which consists of various unit types including studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments.
• The project created over 450 jobs for local youth, artisans, and suppliers, with 39 artisans formally certified under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) programme.
• President Ruto also broke ground for Phase II, which will add 570 units and provide an additional 500 daily employment opportunities, featuring amenities like a clubhouse, ECD school, and shopping mall.
