Tanzania's President Samia Suluhu Hassan has ordered a review of treason charges against post-election protesters from the October 29th General Election. Addressing the 13th Parliament, she expressed condolences and suggested many young protesters were unaware of their actions.

• Approximately 340 people have been arrested, including political leaders and social media influencers.
• President Suluhu stated, "Ninatambua kuwa vijana wengi waliokamatwa na kushtakiwa kwa makosa ya uhaini hawakujua wanachofanya."
• The UN Human Rights Chief Volker Türk called for investigations into killings and human rights violations related to the unrest.
