Kenya's top editors have warned that the country's media is facing significant threats from economic strain and attacks on journalists, jeopardizing press freedom ahead of the 2027 General Election.

• Kenya Editors Guild (KEG) President Zubeidah Kananu stated that economic challenges, not censorship, are the biggest threat to journalism.
