The Kenya Defence Force (KDF) has denied claims that its officers stole part of a 1,024-kilogram methamphetamine consignment, valued at Ksh. 8.2 billion, seized in a multi-agency operation on October 25, 2025.

A multi-agency team, including the Kenya Navy, Kenya Coast Guard, and NACADA, intercepted a dhow carrying the drugs and arrested six Iranian nationals.
The KDF stated that the entire consignment remains intact and is under continuous protection by a dedicated multi-agency security team.
Investigations are underway regarding the alleged involvement of KDF personnel, with stern disciplinary and legal measures promised if allegations are substantiated.
