A global multi-sectoral network, the Million Lives Collective (MLC), in partnership with the Judith Neilson Foundation, has announced a new grant program for smart, healthy, equitable, and resilient cities in Africa.

• The program, 'The African Cities Innovation Fund (ACIF)', will offer $75,000 (Sh9,708,750) in grant funding.
• Applications for ACIF will officially open in Spring next year, inviting pairs of African innovators.
• Abi Taylor, Innovation Lead at the Judith Neilson Foundation, announced the initiative at a summit in Nairobi.
• Awardees will also receive tailored technical assistance and exposure to global development stakeholders.
• The MLC will precede the launch of ACIF with a call for new members in January next year.
