Four suspects have been arrested in connection with defrauding a businessman of Ksh. 105,000 in a fake Prisons Service tender scam. Posing as senior Kenya Prisons officers, the quartet promised to supply vegetables to Kitui GK Prisons.

• The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) led the operation, revealing the discovery of 37 fake Kenya Prisons Service tender approval forms and two fake Kenya Prison Service job IDs in the suspects' car.
• The arrested individuals are identified as Clement Wachira, Andrew Kimani, Ann Waweru, and Rehema Makandi.
• Other items found during the inspection included eight mobile phones and six ID cards belonging to different individuals, indicating a larger fraudulent scheme.
