The Kenyan government has invited public participation in a series of forums concerning the proposed Religious Organizations Policy, 2024, and the Religious Organizations Bill, 2024, aimed at regulating worship centers.

• Public forums will be held from December 15 to 19, 2025, across 12 regional centers.
• The Principal Secretary, State Department for National Government Coordination, Ahmed Ibrahim, emphasized the goal is to combat religious extremism and abuse of freedom of worship.
• The proposed framework follows recommendations adopted by the Cabinet on July 29, 2025, and aims to strengthen governance within the religious sector.
