Shining Hope for Communities (SHOFCO) has donated two fully equipped buses to Nairobi's Eastlands community to support income generation and provide affordable transport. These buses join four others previously donated in Nairobi, and are part of a larger initiative to uplift informal settlements across Kenya.

The SUN (SHOFCO Urban Network)-branded buses were handed over in Embakasi West.
Dr. Kennedy Odede, SHOFCO Founder and CEO, stated the buses are "tools of empowerment" for community-owned economic ventures.
The income generated will fund youth initiatives, welfare programs, and local projects, addressing a "longstanding need for accessible, reliable transport" as highlighted by SUN representative John Musyoki.
