A heated family dispute has erupted in Milimani Court as Kalpa Chandarana accuses her sister, Dinta Devani Pathanja, of forging their late father's Will to disinherit her and their other sister of property and billions of shillings. The alleged forgery occurred just a month after the death of their father, Balkrishna Ramji Haribhai Devani, in June 2019.
- The alleged forged Will, a codicil, was dated July 2019, a month after their father's death, implying he "rose from the dead and signed" it.
- Dinta Devani Pathanja, her husband Abhay Singh Pathanja, and two employees are accused of manipulating the Will to transfer shares in companies like Pelican Limited, Silverstar Properties, and Stanmore Development Limited.
- The court heard that Kalpa discovered the changes via a codicil filed by Dinta at the Milimani High Court, which altered the original Will that had equally distributed the estate among the three daughters.
- The accused denied the charges and were released on a bond of Sh3 million or an alternative cash bail of Sh1 million.
