Kenya Power has announced planned power interruptions for Tuesday, June 9, 2026, affecting parts of Uasin Gishu County and Bungoma County. These outages are scheduled to facilitate essential maintenance and improve the reliability of the electricity network in the impacted regions.

• Areas in Uasin Gishu County (Merewet and surrounding) will experience an outage from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• In Bungoma County, the Terem Power / Kapkateny area will be affected from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., while the Lugulu / Munyikana area will have outages from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Kenya Power advises customers to treat all electrical installations as live during the interruption period.
