The National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya (NFDK) is enhancing grants for Persons Living With Disabilities (PWDs) and institutions that care for them, potentially reaching up to Sh3 million per applicant.

• NFDK chairman David Musila announced the availability of these increased grants, which can fund infrastructure and income-generating projects like agriculture, beauty parlours, and car washes.
• The fund, established in 1980, has been supporting PWDs and recently distributed Sh3 million worth of equipment and financial aid in Mombasa County.
• The NFDK's budgetary allocation for 2026/2027 is set to increase to Sh500 million from Sh200 million, demonstrating strong parliamentary support for disability inclusion.
