The Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK), Kamau Thugge, was dismissed by a parliamentary committee on June 5 for failing to provide necessary supporting documents during his presentation regarding ethnic diversity and job opportunities at the CBK.

• Thugge's report was rejected due to missing annexes and unsigned documents.
• He appeared before the National Assembly’s Committee on National Cohesion and Equal Opportunity, chaired by Aden Yussuf Haji.
• The committee also sent away Paul Ngugi, CEO of the Geothermal Development Company, for similar documentation issues.

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has successfully recovered over Ksh 39 million misappropriated as fraudulent allowances by two officials of the National Treasury.

• Ksh 20,318,000 was ordered to be refunded by Robert Theuri Murage, and Ksh 18,862,000 by Doris Nafula Simiyu.
• Ruling delivered by Lady Justice L.M. Njuguna emphasized the unlawful nature of the payments.
• The EACC's investigation revealed multiple unauthorized and overlapping allowance payments, violating guidelines set by the Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC).

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has successfully recovered a public land parcel worth over Sh400 million in Nairobi's Loresho area, originally intended for a water reservoir.

• The recovered land measures 4.9 acres and was illegally subdivided and allocated to private individuals.
• Justice Ogutu Mboya of the Environment and Land Court declared the titles from the illegal subdivisions null and void.
• The land is now set to be returned to the government for public use, following a complaint from the Loresho Residents Association regarding the illegal allocation.
