Treasury CS Mbadi Presents Sh4.8 Trillion Budget Amid Scrutiny
Treasury Cabinet Secretary John Mbadi is presenting the 2026/27 National Budget before Parliament today, facing growing scrutiny over his management of Kenya's economy. The Kenyan government has prioritized education in its budget allocation, leading all sectors despite ongoing challenges within the sector. The Kenyan Ministry of Education has received a significant allocation in the new financial year's budget, aimed at strengthening the education sector. The European Union Delegation to Kenya and Equity Group Foundation have separately partnered to broaden access to education and international learning, with this agreement aiming to benefit high-achieving students within Kenya and the wider region.
