In response to the increase in criminal gang activities, Kenya’s Interior Cabinet Secretary Kipchumba Murkomen ordered a major crackdown on muggings in the area. Following the order, police have arrested 80 suspects in connection with these incidents.

Nakuru-Eldoret Highway Reopens After Repair of Sinkhole

A significant earth fissure appeared along the Nakuru-Eldoret road, which developed into a a sinkhole that disrupted traffic on the major highway. The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) planned to engage geologists to investigate the cause and potential risks associated with the geological phenomenon. Following repair work on the sinkhole, the Nakuru-Eldoret highway has been reopened. The repair has restored full traffic flow on the vital route, ensuring the safe passage of vehicles.
