BURN, a Kenya-based clean cookstove manufacturer, has secured a financing package of Sh10.4 billion from the Trade and Development Bank (TDB) Group for expanding access to clean cooking solutions in Mozambique, Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and Zambia.
- The financing includes a mix of debt and results-based funding, targeting 430,000 households.
- The initiative is a part of TDB’s ASCENT Platform, launched in collaboration with the World Bank.
- BURN's deployment will offer eco-friendly cookstoves, potentially preventing 3 million tonnes of CO₂ emissions and benefiting over 2.1 million people.
