The Communications Authority of Kenya (CA) has reported that Kenya's mobile penetration has reached an unprecedented 145.3% in its latest Sector Statistics Report for Q1 2025.

• Total mobile (SIM) subscriptions increased to 76.16 million, a rise of 6.7% from the previous quarter.
• The report highlights a significant surge in cyber threats, with 2.5 billion events detected, marking a 201.7% increase.
• Mobile money subscriptions also showed growth, reaching 45.36 million, up by 7.2%.
