The Members of the National Assembly have issued a 14-day ultimatum to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to address the employment of over 39,000 registered teachers aged 45 and above.
- Only 2,837 of the registered teachers provided full location data, hindering employment analysis.
- The acting CEO of TSC, Evaleen Mitei, acknowledged the data issues and pledged to take swift action.
- The Ministry of Education aims to hire 24,000 teachers in the next financial year, contributing to a total of 100,000 hired over two years.
