Startup Championships and Business Expos Announced for Kenya and Africa - August 2025

A series of business and investment-focused events have been announced. In Kenya, a high-stakes startup championship called VENTURE WARS launched on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, featuring ten technology companies competing for investment. The Sharia Compliance and Halal Business Expo is also set to return to Nairobi from October 10–12, 2025, at BBS Mall, aiming to connect stakeholders in the halal economy. On the international stage, the fourth annual Unstoppable Africa 2025 forum will convene global leaders in New York from September 21–22. Hosted by the Global Africa Business Initiative (GABI), the event's theme is “The BIG Push: Africa Shapes the Markets.”
