Morocco and Madagascar Advance to CHAN 2024 Final - August 2025

Morocco is chasing a historic third African Nations Championship (CHAN) title after eliminating holders Senegal 5-3 on penalties in Kampala. The match ended 1-1 after regular and extra time. Madagascar also secured a historic spot in the CHAN final, defeating Sudan 1-0 in a tense semi-final in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Toky Rakotondraibe scored the decisive goal in extra time, despite Madagascar playing with 10 men for over 40 minutes. As part of its media tour, the CHAN 2024 trophy also made an appearance at the Standard Group Headquarters in Kenya, accompanied by football legends Victor Wanyama and Mrisho Ngasa.
