Morocco secured their third African Nations Championship (CHAN) title by dramatically defeating Madagascar 3-2 at Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi on Saturday. Oussama Lamlioui scored a brace for the Atlas Lions, including a stunning winner to clinch the championship. Following the victory, President William Ruto and AUC Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf congratulated Morocco, which made history by becoming the first team to win the CHAN title three times. The tournament, co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, was praised as the most successful in its 15-year history by FIFA President Gianni Infantino and CAF President Patrice Motsepe. The final at Kasarani Stadium culminated in a vibrant closing ceremony featuring musical performances by Tanzanian songbird Zuchu and Savara.
