The Chan 2024 football tournament concluded at Kasarani Stadium on Saturday night, with Morocco defeating Madagascar in the final. FIFA President Gianni Infantino attended the final match during his visit to Kenya. The multi-national championship was co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania and featured record attendance. During his trip, Infantino also met with President William Ruto to secure land for a new FIFA Technical Centre in Machakos County. Kenya's hosting of the tournament served as a crucial test run for the upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
