FIFA President Gianni Infantino visited Kenya, meeting with President William Ruto to secure land for a new FIFA Technical Centre in Machakos County, and attended the CHAN 2024 final.

• President William Ruto officially handed over title deeds for the land designated for the Football Kenya Federation’s (FKF) national technical centre.
• The project, funded by FIFA Forward, will include one natural grass pitch, two artificial turf pitches, and administration and conference facilities, costing USD 4.6 million.
• Infantino also inspected the nearly completed 60,000-seater Talanta Stadium, a key venue for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), co-hosted by Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
