Ruto Defends Economic Policies as KRA Collects KSh73.2B Housing Levy and Other Costs are Cut - September 2025

Meanwhile, the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) has collected KSh73.2 billion from the housing levy during the 2024/2025 financial year. The government has also announced a reduction in the prices of maize and fertilizer, a move aimed to benefit farmers across the country. Additionally, President Ruto has significantly reduced university fees, bringing them to a 25-year low to make higher education more accessible.
