Visa Launches Visa Pay in DRC; Equity Bank Partners for Remittances to Kenya - September 2025

Visa has launched Visa Pay in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), an innovative mobile solution for digital payments and money movement. Announced in Kinshasa on September 5, the service is designed to connect both banked and unbanked consumers. The platform aims to allow users to pay, receive funds, and transfer money across participating banks and mobile networks. In a separate development, Equity Bank, PesaLink, and NALA have formed a partnership to simplify remittances for Kenyans living abroad. This collaboration enables the instant delivery of funds to mobile wallets and bank accounts in Kenya.
