Multiple Road Accidents Reported in Eldoret, Mwea-Embu, and Nairobi-Nakuru Highway - September 2025

Two individuals died and several others were injured in a multi-vehicle accident on the Mwea-Embu Highway on September 14, when two Toyota Proboxes reportedly racing caused a head-on collision with a boda boda rider. In a separate incident, George Ruto's luxury matatu, named Mood, was involved in an accident in Eldoret on Sunday morning after being hit from behind by a 14-seater matatu. The Ksh14 million vehicle had arrived for a homecoming event shortly before the accident occurred. Furthermore, several Gor Mahia fans were injured when their bus overturned on the Nairobi-Naivasha highway at Kimende. The bus was reportedly speeding as the fans were returning to Nairobi from a burial.
