President William Ruto will host 10,000 educators at State House this Saturday to discuss teachers’ welfare and the future of education reforms in Kenya.

• A high-level meeting led by Basic Education Principal Secretary Julius Bitok fine-tuned the program with union leaders.
• The delegation will comprise 3,300 delegates from KNUT, 2,000 from KUPPET, 400 from KUSNET, 2,300 from KEPSHA, and 2,000 from KESSHA.
• Unions aim to advocate for improved terms of service and address concerns regarding staffing shortages, infrastructure, and the implementation of Competency-Based Education (CBE).

The Social Health Authority (SHA) has appointed four new Directors following a competitive recruitment process.

• These appointments aim to bolster the Authority's leadership in fulfilling its mandate of providing financial risk protection for Kenyan residents and expanding access to quality healthcare.
• The new Directors include Dr. Diana Marion (Director of Provider and Beneficiary Management), Ms. Golda Larissa Akolo (Director of Benefits and Claims Management), Mr. Mohamed Alio Ibrahim (Director of Corporate Services), and Mr. Jonathan Leisen (Director of Funds and Finance Management).
• The appointments were announced by SHA Board Chairman Dr. Abdi Mohammed on Friday, marking a significant milestone for the organization.

The Kenya Dairy Board (KDB) and the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance Kenya’s dairy sector by improving milk production and safety standards.

• Kenya's dairy industry produces 5.33 billion litres annually, contributing 4.5 percent to GDP.
• The collaboration aims to double milk consumption by 2030 and increase output from 8 billion litres to over 18 billion litres.
• The pact will focus on upgrading production, processing, and consumer awareness, while empowering smallholder farmers and processors, and exploring export opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa.
