Kenyan Athletes to Compete in World Championships, Cross Country, and Golf Tour - September 2025
Kenya is pinning its hopes on Faith Kipyegon and Emmanuel Wanyonyi to secure double gold medals on the penultimate day of the World Athletics Championships. Kipyegon aims to defend her 5,000 metres title, while Wanyonyi seeks a world gold in the 800m race. In Cheptigit, the inaugural Cheptigit-German Cross Country Run is set to be held on Saturday, attracting over 300 student athletes from primary and secondary schools. This weekend will also feature the KCB East Africa Golf Tour, which is set to host its 20th leg at the Kitale Golf Club. The event has attracted over 150 amateur golfers from across Kenya.
