Zakhem International Construction Limited has filed a petition in the High Court seeking the liquidation of its subcontractor, Oilfields Engineering and Supplies Limited, escalating a long-running dispute over Kenya Pipeline Company's (KPC) Line 5 pipeline project.

• The liquidation filing follows Oilfields' efforts to block KPC from releasing approximately US$31 million (KSh 4.01 billion) owed to Zakhem.

The Kenyan government has launched an inquiry into Qona Sacco (formerly Safaricom Sacco) following allegations of financial mismanagement. The investigation will cover the Sacco's finances, operations, by-laws, and the conduct of current and former management committees.

• The probe was authorized by Commissioner for Co-operative Development David Obonyo and will be conducted by a three-person team within 15 days.
• The inquiry follows a PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) audit that reportedly uncovered mismanagement at the Kenya Union of Savings and Credit Co-operatives (KUSSCO), leading to member losses exceeding Sh12 billion.

Aviation workers under the Kenya Aviation Workers Union (KAWU) and the Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) have until Thursday to resolve their outstanding grievances, facing a looming industrial strike.

• The Employment and Labour Relations Court Judge Onesmus Makau directed the parties to reach a final settlement by October 9, 2025.
• The KAWU Secretary General Moss Ndiema cited the KAA board's alleged incompetence, systemic inefficiencies, and controversial decisions like the Adani lease deal and the transfer of the Ground Flight Safety (GFS) department to the Kenya Civil Aviation Authority (KCAA).
