President William Ruto has issued a directive for all high-ranking government officials to cease displaying the national flag on their official vehicles. This order is in effect during the national mourning period for the late former Prime Minister Raila Odinga. A Kenyan news report indicated that a flag was removed from DP Kindiki’s vehicle as the nation entered the seven-day mourning period in honor of Raila Odinga. The order applies to the Deputy President and Cabinet Secretaries until after the burial.
