President William Ruto has issued a strong warning to cattle rustlers in Baringo County, ordering them to surrender illegal firearms or face consequences. The President has also declared an amnesty for bandits in the county to turn in these firearms before a government crackdown commences. In his statements, President Ruto also advocated for unity through cooperation with Gideon Moi. He and CS Murkomen vowed to eliminate illegal guns from the North Rift.
