Airtel and Safaricom Upgrade Data Plans in Kenya; EdgeNext Launches Services in Nigeria - November 2025
In Kenya, two major telecommunication companies have upgraded their offerings. Airtel Kenya quietly upgraded its Premier postpaid plans, providing subscribers with substantially more data and minutes. Similarly, Safaricom Home Fibre significantly revised its Fair Usage Policy (FUP), increasing data limits to 15TB and boosting post-FUP speeds up to 100Mbps to provide a near-"unlimited" experience. This update was reflected on Safaricom's official FAQ page. Meanwhile, in Nigeria, global provider EdgeNext launched its Content Delivery Network (CDN) and cloud hosting services. This was achieved through a partnership with Rack Centre, establishing EdgeNext's platforms within Rack Centre's facility in Lagos to provide low-latency services.
