Political Leaders Make Statements on Future 2027 and 2032 Elections - November 2025
Several political figures have made public statements positioning themselves and their regions for future elections. Cabinet Secretary for Energy and Petroleum, Opiyo Wandayi, urged the Nyanza region to support and vote for President William Ruto in the 2027 general elections, citing a political debt. Looking further ahead to 2032, Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi declared that the Western region is strategically positioned to produce President Ruto's successor. Speaking in Malava constituency, Mudavadi asserted that the Luhya nation has its "best chance in history" to achieve the presidency.
