Kenyan Sports Teams Compete in National and International Championships - December 2025

The Kenya national boxing team is participating in the elite World Men Boxing Championships in Dubai, seeking to improve their global performance. This follows a positive showing at the Africa Zone Three Boxing Championships in Nairobi. In basketball, the Nairobi City Thunder club has qualified for its second consecutive Basketball Africa League (BAL) season. The team achieved this by winning the Road to BAL Elite 16 East Division and retaining their league title undefeated. Additionally, Nakuru County swimmers are competing in the Open Swimming championships in Nyali, Mombasa. This event serves as a trial for national team selection for international assignments in 2026, including the Commonwealth Games and the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.
