Kenyan golfers Njoroge Kibugu and Naomi Wafula have made history by becoming the first Kenyans to earn global tour cards, securing spots on next season’s Sunshine Tour and Sunshine Ladies Tour, respectively.

• Kibugu earned his card by winning three Sunshine Development Tour (SDT) events at Thika Greens Golf Resort, Nyali Golf Club, and Vetlab Sports Club.
• He has climbed 1,896 places on the Official World Golf Ranking, moving from 3,508 to 1,612, making him the highest-ranked East African.
• Wafula secured her card after making seven out of eight cuts on the SDT, currently ranked 18th on the SDT Order of Merit.
• Kibugu expressed his goal to reach major tours like the PGA Tour, LIV, or the Asia Tour at 22 years old.
• The SDT East Africa Swing Promoter, Charles Gacheru, noted this as a landmark achievement 125 years after golf was introduced in the region.

Ann Njuguna triumphed at the Chairman Jared Ouko Putter's flagship event at Vet Lab Sports Club with 42 stableford points, while Eric Nyongesa achieved a rare hole-in-one at the Kambasome Golf tournament in Mombasa, winning an Audi Q3 car valued at Shs4.2 million.

• The Chairman Jared Ouko Putter event celebrated Vet Lab Sports Club's new constitutional revision, allowing members to elect their chairman for the first time.
• The Nanyuki Sports Club clinched the Mount Kenya District League title for the second consecutive year, with Kevin Powell winning the main category with 44 stableford points.
• At Nyali Golf and Country Club, Sammy Kamau (handicap 19) won the overall title of the Sanlam Allianz tournament with 41 stableford points.

Kevin Powell emerged victorious at the Nanyuki Mall Golf Tournament, securing the title with a commanding 44 stableford points. This year's annual event saw a record attendance of 132 golfers at the Nanyuki Sports Club, coinciding with the coronation of the Mount Kenya District League (MKDL) champions.

• The Nanyuki Sports Club clinched the Mount Kenya District League title for the second consecutive year.
• Michael Kiruti, Director - Nanyuki Mall, noted that the event surpassed all expectations.
• Other notable winners included Jack Muriungi (Men’s winner), Rose Komu (Lady winner), Peter Kinuthia (Limuru Country Club Chairman) with a superb 73 Gross, and Will Wambugu (Junior prize).
