Canon, Huawei, and HealthX Launch Initiatives for Conservation, Digital Literacy, and Rider Healthcare in Kenya - December 2025
Canon Central and North Africa is expanding its coral conservation initiative into East Africa by partnering with Kenya’s Oceans Alive Foundation to protect vital coral reefs. In Dagoretti North, MP Beatrice Elachi launched the Huawei DigiTruck Digital Literacy Programme at Lavington Girls Secondary School to boost youth empowerment. The program will provide hands-on digital training to 250 registered youth until December 22nd, 2025. Concurrently, HealthX has launched HealthX Boda, a new digital health solution to provide affordable healthcare and accident protection for Kenyan boda boda riders. This initiative aims to address the historically underserved healthcare needs of these workers. Canon's collaboration focuses on science-led restoration and community capacity building.
