Nashon Kondiwa has been appointed as the new Director General of the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) for a three-year term, effective February 17, 2026. He takes over from George Njao, who served for two terms.

• Kondiwa previously served as NTSA’s Deputy Director for Information Communication Technology.
• He brings over 22 years of experience in information and communication technology and digital transformation in the road transport sector.

The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) board has officially appointed Engineer Luka Kimeli as its new Director General, effective February 17. This follows a competitive and transparent recruitment process.

• Engineer Luka Kimeli previously served as acting Director General after the resignation of Engineer Kungu Ndung'u.
• He brings 27 years of experience in infrastructure development, strategic program delivery, and public sector leadership.
• The appointment received satisfaction from the board, with Chairperson Winfrida Ngumi expressing confidence in Eng. Kimeli's ability to enhance efficiency and deliver world-class highway infrastructure.

The Kenya Roads Board (KRB) has appointed Judith Otsyula as its new Director General, making her the first woman to hold the position. She will serve a three-year term, taking over from Engineer Isaac Maina.

• Judith Otsyula brings over two decades of senior leadership experience in infrastructure development to the role.
• Her responsibilities include the day-to-day management of KRB affairs and the administration of the Road Maintenance Levy Fund (RMLF) and the Kenya Roads Board Fund.
• KRB Chairperson Aisha Jumwa expressed confidence in Otsyula's ability to strengthen KRB's mandate and advance sustainable road financing.

Jackson Magondu has been officially appointed as the Director General of the Kenya Rural Roads Authority (KeRRA), effective February 17. He will serve a three-year term, with the possibility of one renewal, overseeing the country's rural road network.

• Magondu is a seasoned engineer with over 30 years of experience in the roads and infrastructure sector, including 24 years in highway and road engineering.
• The appointment was announced by Anthony Mwaura, chairman of the KeRRA board of directors.
• Before this appointment, Magondu had been acting as the director general since July, following the resignation of former DG Philemon Kandie.
• He holds a Master's Degree in Infrastructure Management from Yokohama National University, Japan, and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Nairobi.
