Education and Training Development in Kenya - February 2026

Kenya is transforming its education sector with a focus on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). Artificial Intelligence (AI) is poised to revolutionize education in Kenya, enhancing the recently implemented Competency-Based Education (CBE) curriculum. Cabinet Secretary Ogamba announced that TVET institutions are being repositioned to be the primary drivers of Kenya's industrial and socio-economic development. Meanwhile, thousands of Grade 10 learners across Kenya are reportedly unable to report to their respective secondary schools due to significant funding gaps in the education sector.
