President William Ruto has directed the Ministry of Roads and Transport to implement surveillance cameras in major cities nationwide for the immediate enforcement of traffic fines. The Kenyan government is proposing immediate fines for traffic offenses following a concerning rise in road accidents. A tragic road accident in Athi River resulted in the deaths of two individuals and left another with serious injuries.
