Sifuna Declares Raila-Ruto MoU Missed March 7 Deadline - March 2026
Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has stated that the March 7 deadline for implementing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Raila and Ruto for a 10-point reform agenda and establishing a broad-based government has been missed. A fresh political clash has erupted over the implementation status of the 10-point agenda, with factions of the ODM party disagreeing on the way forward following political realignments ahead of the 2027 General Election. Additionally, a faction supporting ODM party leader Edwin Sifuna will boycott a joint Parliamentary Group meeting convened by President William Ruto and ODM party leader Oburu Oginga, deepening the internal party divisions.
