Out of 14,895 inspected buildings, only 2,194 were categorized as safe, highlighting a significant risk to public safety. In a related development, forensic experts and government pathologists have commenced the exhumation of 14 bodies from a suspected mass grave located at the Makaburini Public Cemetery in Kericho East. Separately, a court in Kericho has approved a 30-day detention for two suspects in connection with mysterious mass graves discovered at Makaburini.
