The Orange Democratic Movement held a Special Delegates Convention on Friday, March 27, 2026, resulting in a significant leadership reshuffle. Oburu Oginga took ODM leadership at the convention. Vihiga Senator Godfrey Osotsi was removed as deputy party leader during the convention. ODM stated that its support for the ruling UDA in ongoing talks is contingent on their key demand: electoral zoning for the 2027 polls. The Political Parties Disputes Tribunal halted the planned removal of Edwin Sifuna as ODM's Secretary-General.
