President William Ruto has announced measures to shield Kenyans from potential price shocks in fuel and other essential commodities stemming from the Middle East conflict. The government has assured the nation of adequate fertilizer supplies through September despite global trade disruptions, with a vessel carrying approximately 2 million bags of fertilizer docking at the Port of Mombasa. The NCPB has extended distribution hours to weekend and public holidays to aid farmers impacted by the delivery delay.
