The Kenyan Shilling has weakened against the U.S. Dollar for the first time in 20 months on Wednesday, April 1, reaching Ksh130.0200 against the dollar. Kenya's Cabinet Secretary for Investments, Trade and Industry, Lee Kinyanjui, has stated that Uganda and Tanzania may soon rely on Kenya for fuel due to worsening energy crises in their countries. The Kenya Revenue Authority has rescheduled essential maintenance for its Integrated Customs Management System, impacting cargo clearance operations at the Port of Mombasa.
