Kenya's Judiciary is launching innovative mobile truck courts to extend judicial services to remote and underserved areas, aiming to significantly improve access to justice.

• The initiative will transform specially fitted trucks into functional courtrooms for hearings and filings.
• The project is spearheaded by Chief Justice Martha Koome as part of the Social Transformation Through Access to Justice (STAJ) program.
• These courts will be equipped with courtroom facilities, internet connectivity, and recording systems, targeting regions with sparse court infrastructure.

The Ministry of Roads and Transport has announced significant progress on the Garissa-Isiolo Road, a key component of the LAPSSET Corridor Program.

• The 160km road project is currently at 64.26% physical completion.
• This major national highway, classified as an A10, is being upgraded to all-weather bitumen standards to facilitate heavy commercial traffic from Lamu Port.
• The project is also providing employment opportunities for young Kenyans, with 168 youth employed in various roles in January.
